EVANESCENCE
The Powers of OIE, as stated by Gwyn
by Gwyn Ann Aldip
The OIE model intends to make use of the 'excesses' visible on the paper and unpack the possible ideas that may come out of it for the benefit of the work. Even after the different classes that we have taken over the years, it is still surprising to me how these supposed cringe parts of the text bring out the great possibilities of the process. Instead of merely pointing out the mistakes, it focuses on how to utilize them in improving the revision. Though amazing on its own way, the method remains intriguing on how it is effective on helping different kinds of ideas work. Writing nonfiction encompasses a wide range of thoughts and possibilities, and it is a wonder that these three strategies continue to be consistent in bringing out the best out of the author's mind. It is only disturbing that the revised version would have to solely rely on this pattern. The observations, interpretations, and evaluations can generate any input that will make the output better, and that is, at the same time, a fascinating idea for me.

Through the previous workshops that we've had, I have learned to understand the purpose of this method and its power to bring out what works on the text. The author's ideas won't have to be completely put to waste as the process would have to pay attention and give importance to how these could all be put into use, in favor of improving the revisions yet to arise.
